"Melentie Pandilovski’s book ART IN THE BIOTECH ERA brings together artists and writers from many diverse positions — systemic, critical, positivist, aesthetic, and postmodern. Including documentation of art in addition to essays, ART IN THE BIOTECH ERA is a major tool for artists and theorists working and playing in the dynamic field of bioarts."
Stephen Wilson, author of "Information Arts and Border Watch: Artists Working at the Frontiers of Research."
We are delighted to have Linda Cooper launch the publication. Linda is a consultant for program and policy developments in the arts, sciences and cross-culture issues. She is currently the Director of the Bragg Initiative in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, and Project Director for the establishment of the Royal Institution Australia as a national organisation based in Adelaide. She is presently working with UK neuroscientist and Director of the Royal Institution of Great Britain, Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield and the South Australian government in developing and implementing a somewhat unique policy for science and society - an oucome of the Adelaide’s ‘Thinker in Residence’ Program.
"Art in the Biotech Era" was produced with assistance from the Gordon Darling Foundation, Marathon Resources Limited and South Australia’s Premiers’ Arts Fellowship Fund.
