Gary Gygax, one of the fathers of table top role-playing games and the creator of Dungeons Dragons has died at the age of 69. The role-playing genre was established when he designed the first version of Dungeons  Dragons with Dave Arneson in 1974. Dungeons Dragons and the game's devotees became synonymous with geek culture, and frequently the butt of many jokes, but its legacy can be seen today in popular genre of MMORPGs - Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, such as World of Warcraft, which has over 10 million subscribers around the world.
